SUPPORT / HOW TO

Use CarPlay and iPhone widgets

CarPlay provides trip controls and today’s trips. The mileage widget shows a daily summary; the recording control starts or ends a trip.

Connect the phone and open DriveHub

Set up CarPlay using your vehicle’s supported wired or wireless connection. Once connected, open DriveHub on the car display. The current layout has Driving and Trips; appearance can differ by app version and display.

  1. While parked, verify that the phone has DriveHub installed and your vehicle supports CarPlay.
  2. If the app is missing from the display, check iPhone Settings → General → CarPlay → your car → Customize, and the available app list.
  3. Open DriveHub and check the vehicle before starting. Automatic lets DriveHub identify the car; choose a specific vehicle when needed.

Check recording and today’s trips

Driving shows the trip’s recording state and figures. Start trip begins recording when there is no active trip; Stop trip asks for confirmation. The Trips tab shows today’s trips and is unavailable while recording. Check saved trips while parked after recording has stopped.

  1. Read the recording state before pressing Start trip; automatic detection may already have started the journey.
  2. At the end, use Stop trip if you need to end recording manually and confirm the choice.
  3. When parked, open Trips and check today’s saved trips and the offered type choices. For detailed edits or an older date, use the iPhone app.

Add the daily summary to an iPhone screen

Today’s Mileage shows recorded distance for today, with business and personal figures where the chosen layout has room. It is a summary, not the button for starting a trip. Widget updates can lag behind the app; check the trip list for the saved record.

  1. On the Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area, choose Edit → Add Widget, find DriveHub and add an offered mileage widget.
  2. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold it, choose Customize and the widget area, then add an available DriveHub layout.
  3. After saving, compare the widget with today’s trips in DriveHub and check the distance unit. If DriveHub is absent from the picker, open the installed app and check for an update.

Add the separate manual start and stop control

Where supported by your iOS version, Control Center offers DriveHub’s Trip Recording control. It is separate from the mileage widget. Its switch starts or stops recording; it does not configure automatic detection.

  1. Open Control Center, enter its editing mode, choose Add a Control and find DriveHub’s Trip Recording control.
  2. Add it, then check its label and current recording state before using it.
  3. After a manual start or stop, open DriveHub to verify the active trip or saved result. Manage tracking permissions and automatic detection in the app’s settings.
