Answer the trips waiting for review
Open Trips → For you → Need to check. Each page lets you decide Business or Personal. You can also open an existing trip to correct its type and add the purpose of a business journey.
- Check the date, route and vehicle of the trip.
- Choose Business or Personal based on what the journey was for.
- Add the business purpose where needed, then check the next trip.

Set the hours that usually mean work
Open Settings → Tracking & detection → Working hours. Choose the relevant days and times. A schedule helps classify trips; personal-time drives are still recorded.
- Add a working-hours schedule and edit its days and time window.
- Check any other schedules and their order if they overlap.
- Review the next trips to see whether the suggestions match your routine.

Check a place rule before changing the schedule
A place’s own rule takes priority. Suggestions from previous drives on the route come next, followed by working hours and the optional work calendar. Anything still uncertain waits for review. A schedule change will not correct every old trip for you.
- Open Settings → Tracking & detection → Places & rules and inspect a rule if the same route keeps getting the wrong type.
- Turn off Work out the type from past drives if you do not want suggestions based on route history.
- Use Work Calendar only if you want on-device calendar information to help with suggestions.

Check the selected reporting period
A journey’s purpose and the applicable filing rules determine how it belongs in your log. A home-to-work commute is not automatically business mileage just because it happens during working hours.
- Review the trip types for the period you intend to export.
- Correct individual trips and make a new report after any change.
