SUPPORT / HOW TO
Get automatic recording ready
Start with the status in DriveHub, then fix the permission or setting it names.

Check the recording status
Open Settings → Tracking & detection → Tracking & permissions. This screen shows the permissions and detection sources the app can use. Calendar access is optional and helps classification; it is not required to record a route.
- Allow Always location access and Precise Location in iOS Settings.
- Allow Motion & Fitness so DriveHub can notice driving and compare the motion history with trips.
- Return to DriveHub and read the status again. Allow notifications if you want to receive tracking and missed-drive notices.

Check the detection switches
Automatic Detection starts trips without a timer. Working hours change the suggested trip type; they do not pause recording. Low Power Mode can restrict background work, so a warning deserves attention before a drive.
- Check that Automatic Detection is on in Tracking & permissions.
- If Low Power Mode is on, turn it off in the iPhone battery controls and check the status again.
- Keep the app installed and permissions enabled. After arriving, check the dated Trips list and review any missed-drive notice.

Set up an earlier start from your car connection
The optional car connection uses automations you create in Apple Shortcuts. Turning on Car Bluetooth alone does not create them. The in-app wizard explains which car and actions to choose.
- Open Tracking & permissions → Set Up Car Bluetooth and choose the vehicle.
- In Shortcuts, add an automation for the car’s Bluetooth connection to run DriveHub’s Start Trip action, and a disconnection automation to run End Trip. Set both to run automatically without a confirmation prompt.
- For wired CarPlay, use the CarPlay connection and disconnection triggers instead. Return to the wizard to finish, then check the next drive.

Choose when recording starts
For manual recording, turn off Automatic Detection and Car Bluetooth and disable any Shortcuts automations that start DriveHub trips. A start action still starts a trip when you deliberately run it.
- On Trips, check the vehicle and tap Start before driving.
- Finish the recording after arriving and review the saved trip.
- For a drive you forgot to start, use Add a past trip.
