Use address search without a connection

Choose an available address database

Open Settings → Offline addresses. The country list shows the databases currently offered and their approximate download sizes. A country not listed does not have a downloadable pack in the app.

1. Choose the country you need and check its size and available device storage.
2. With an internet connection, tap Download. For a large pack, use a connection you are comfortable downloading it over.
3. Wait for Ready to use offline rather than assuming a started download is complete.

Find an endpoint or saved place

The downloaded list supplies address suggestions and coordinates without an internet connection. Use it where DriveHub asks you to choose an address, such as a manually added past trip or Find by Address when adding a saved place.

1. Open an address picker and search for the street or destination in the downloaded country.
2. Check the actual suggestion and pin instead of selecting a similarly named street by mistake.
3. Choose the address and check the saved place or trip details.

Treat address lookup separately from other services

An offline address pack does not download all map imagery or provide an offline road-routing service. Rebuilding a missed route through Apple Maps still needs a connection; iCloud also needs a connection to sync changes.

1. If the address search works but a map or recovery does not, check the connection needed for that action.
2. If no address matches, check spelling and whether you downloaded the right country. Use online address search when you have a connection if needed.
3. For a failed pack download, read the error in Offline addresses, check connection and storage, then use Try again.

Remove the pack when you no longer need it

Remove stops DriveHub using the downloaded country. Address suggestions then use Apple Maps and need a connection. iOS may reclaim the space later rather than immediately, and you can download the country again.

1. Open Offline addresses and tap Remove for the country.
2. Read the confirmation and confirm if you intend to remove that download.
3. Check the country’s status afterward. Removing an address pack does not delete your saved trips or places.
