Set additional calculations for your country

These answers tailor report suggestions. They do not determine eligibility, change trips or tax records, or switch on every calculation for every car.

Open Additional calculations

Settings shows Additional calculations under Country / Rate only when the selected country and regime offer at least one question. The screen has a Year picker for 2025 through the next calendar year; its empty state says “No additional calculations”.

Available questions depend on country and regime: Annual commute deduction, Car VAT or Per diem.

  1. Open Settings and look under Country / Rate. If Additional calculations is not listed, check the selected country and car-use regime.
  2. Tap Additional calculations. Confirm the country at the top and select the calendar year you want to answer for.

Set an answer for the year

Each question offers Yes and No. On the general “All cars” scope, “Not answered” means no answer is stored for that country, year and question. For a selected car, “Use general answer” removes that car’s override so it follows the general setting. An unanswered question differs from No and may leave a setup suggestion in Reports.

Changing an answer changes the suggestions shown in Reports. It does not edit trips or tax records, and it does not establish that a deduction, reimbursement or VAT treatment is allowed. Use the question to describe your situation accurately, then review the report output.

  1. Choose the Year at the top of Additional calculations.
  2. Read the question, such as whether you travel between home and a regular workplace, claim VAT on business vehicle costs, or want to track per diems for work trips away from home.
  3. Select Yes or No for your circumstances. To clear a general answer, choose Not answered; to clear a car-specific override, choose Use general answer.

Set answers for individual cars

For Annual commute deduction and Car VAT, you can choose All cars or a specific vehicle. A car-specific answer overrides the general answer for that question, country and year. The screen shows an Effective answer label for a selected car so you can check which answer applies. Per diem is always scoped to all cars, so it does not use an individual-car override.

If a car is not listed, check that it remains in your vehicle list. Answers are saved by year and country.

  1. Use the Car picker to select All cars or the vehicle you want to configure.
  2. Set Yes or No for each available question. When using a car-specific scope, check the Effective answer beneath the question.
  3. Return to All cars to review the general answer; per diem always uses the all-cars scope.

Verify the report and understand limits

Return to Reports and open the relevant year or report flow. Review any suggestion or question that corresponds to the answer you changed, and check that the expected trip records are still present. These answers control report suggestions; they do not guarantee that a calculation or payable amount appears.

If Additional calculations is absent, confirm the country and “How you use this car” selection in Settings. If a question or report result differs by vehicle, inspect the car picker, year, effective answer and report’s vehicle scope. For legal eligibility or filing advice, consult the relevant authority; these settings only collect information for report suggestions.

  1. Open Reports for the same year and vehicle scope you configured.
  2. Inspect the report setup prompts or preview and confirm that no trip or tax record was removed.

Additional calculations is not shown?

Tell support the country and how you use the car. The available questions depend on both settings.
