SUPPORT / TRIPS AND REPORTS

Enter a past trip by hand

If your iPhone did not record a drive, you can add a log entry yourself. This creates a manual trip from the details you provide; it does not recreate the GPS track.

Choose manual entry only when there is no recorded drive to recover.

Manual entry is for a journey absent from Trips that cannot be recovered from movement history. Recovery uses movement your iPhone recorded; manual entry stores the details you type.

A manual trip has no recorded GPS route. Addresses identify endpoints but do not draw a route or prove where the car travelled. Check For you → Missed drives first to avoid entering a recoverable trip twice.

  1. Open Trips and check the dated list for the journey.
  2. If it is absent, open For you → Missed drives and look for a matching recoverable drive.
  3. Use Add a past trip only when there is no matching drive to recover.

Add the facts you know and check the required fields before saving.

From Trips, choose Add a past trip. The form starts with a recent time range, but both dates and times are editable. If you opened the form from a missing-trip prompt, some values may already be filled in; check them instead of assuming they are correct.

Enter a positive distance and check the unit shown beside the field. Switching between a large and small unit changes only the input format. Reports use the distance unit selected in DriveHub Settings. Decimal commas are accepted. The distance must be positive and the end time cannot precede the start.

  1. Set the start and end date and time for the journey.
  2. Enter the distance, confirm its displayed unit, and check the endpoints.
  3. Choose Business, Personal or Commute, and select the vehicle if the vehicle picker is shown.

Addresses help identify the entry, but a map pin is not required.

Use From and To to add the place names you want shown with this trip. You can type an address even if DriveHub cannot place it on the map. If you select a suggested location, DriveHub can also associate a map location with that endpoint; this still does not create the path between the two places.

Leave an address blank if unknown. A typed place that cannot be resolved is not a reason to invent a more precise location.

  1. Tap From or To and enter the place name, if known.
  2. Select a location suggestion only if it is the correct place; otherwise keep the text you know.
  3. Review the trip type and vehicle before tapping Save.

Return to Trips and confirm the details before relying on the report.

After Save, the trip appears in the list. Open it to check the date, distance, type, vehicle and endpoints. Where shown, its source is marked as entered by hand.

If you notice an error after saving, Trip details does not provide an editor for a manually entered trip’s dates or total distance. Keep the correct details, remove the mistaken entry if needed, then add it again with the right values. Check the date and list carefully so you do not leave a duplicate. Do not expect a route to appear: manual entry supplies a log record, not GPS evidence. Export a new report after the corrected entry is saved.

  1. Find the entry under the date you entered and open its details.
  2. Compare the displayed distance and vehicle with your notes.
  3. If the entry itself is wrong, note the correct details, remove the mistaken entry, add it again, and check that only one copy remains.

Need help with a missing trip?

If the phone may have recorded movement, check Missed drives first. Tell support the trip date and whether it appears there.
