Count short trips
For routes between nearby addresses, DriveHub can keep automatic drives from about 100 m instead of 300 m. Those very short records still need your review.

Find the short-trip setting
Count short trips lowers the automatic save-distance threshold for delivery or service drives. It does not guarantee detection or decide whether a trip is business.
With it off, an automatic recording must reach 300 m and 60 seconds. On, its distance threshold is 100 m; 60 seconds still applies. Kept short records go to review because the app cannot tell whether the trigger was a real drive.
- Open Settings → Recording → Tracking & detection, then find Count short trips in its Tracking section.
- Turn on “Count short trips” for the vehicle-use pattern you have. The setting applies to automatic saving, not to whether a trip is business or personal.
- If you do not need short movements recorded, leave the setting off; a lower threshold can add more records to review.

Check the short record
When a short automatic drive is kept, find it in Trips and open it for review. Check its start and end, route or distance, and the car. Add or correct the details the review asks for, then choose the trip type. Do not treat its presence in the list as confirmation that the route was a business journey.
This setting changes automatic recording only; it cannot reconstruct a route if no usable location data arrived.
- After a brief drive, open Trips and look for a new item around the correct time.
- Open it and check the distance, endpoints and selected vehicle. Correct the record if needed before including it in a report.
- Follow the review prompts to check the trip details.

If the drive is still missing
First check that the setting was on before the drive and that Tracking & permissions shows no unresolved location or motion issue. The setting only lowers a distance bar; a recording still needs at least 60 seconds and usable measurements. An automatic trigger that never received a location fix is not a measured short trip, so the switch cannot recover a missing GPS track.
The 100 m and one-minute limits still apply when the setting is on. For a drive the app did not record, use the existing missed-drive recovery or manual entry flow if available; entering it by hand records the details you supply and does not restore the original GPS route.
- Open Settings → Recording → Tracking & detection → Tracking & permissions and resolve any item marked for attention.
- Check Trips and the missed-drive list around the drive time. If you add a record manually, verify its date, times, car, distance and addresses.

Verify its effect in a report
After review, open Reports and choose a period that includes the drive. Confirm the trip appears under the expected vehicle and that its type is included in the report. A short distance can change a total, but the report still uses the trip’s saved classification and the rules for the selected country and report.
If the trip is absent, check its date range and vehicle selection. If the total looks unexpected, compare the individual trip distance with the report preview instead of changing the threshold to force a target figure.
- Open Reports and choose the period and vehicle.
- Preview the report. Verify the short trip’s date, type and distance in the included records.
